Caption: Lynmouth Bay.
Description: Lynmouth Bay. Sillery Sands Fault. At the foot of the cliff near Sillery Sands a major reverse fault brings Lynton Slates (right-hand side) against Hangman (Foreland) Grits (left-hand side and foreground). The fault plane as seen in the cliff is apparently nearly vertical, with a very steep contact, and forms a prominent gully.
