Description: Oblique aerial view of Suilven seen almost broadside showing the Lewisian-Torridonian unconformity. Sutherland. View looking west. Suilven, a relict mountain of reddish-brown Torridonian sandstone with basal conglomerate which can be seen in the small crag in the foreground. The conglomerate is the lowest bed of the Torridonian and sits directly on top of the much older Lewisian gneisses.
