Description: Siccar Point, eastward view. Berwickshire. Unconformity between Upper Old Red Sandstone and the underlying Silurian (Llandovery) age rocks. Dark red sandstones and breccias of the Upper Old Red Sandstone age dip at low angles to the north and rest unconformably on an uneven surface of vertical greywackes and siltstones of Silurian (Llandovery) age. The red sandstones form the shore in the middle distance; the cliffs beyond, between Fast Castle and St. Abb's Head, are formed of steeply-dipping folded greywackes.
