Description: Bognor Common, 2 km. N. of Fittleworth Church. Fuller's Earth in Hythe Beds. The Fuller's Earth occurs as a lens 1.8 m. thick x 45 m. long within the Hythe Beds. In the photograph, the Fuller's Earth can be seen approximately in the centre of the view, immediately below the tipped material. A number of joints in the Hythe Beds are visible which are thought to be related to cambering - some of the joints are infilled from above by the Fuller's Earth.
