Description: The Somers Gravel Pit, Meriden. Glacial sand and gravel. The face shows c. 5 m. of glacial sand and gravel, part of a deposit which infills a north-south trending valley, roughly following the line of the present River Blythe Valley. The full thickness of the deposits is probably of the order of 10 m. at this locality.
