Caption: Highdown Hill, Ferring.
Description: Highdown Hill, Ferring. Tertiary outcrop and Chalk dip-slope from Highdown Hill. View to north from Highdown Hill. The lower ground in the middle distance marks the outcrop of Tertiary beds in the core of the easterly extension of the Chichester syncline. Much of the Tertiary outcrop is here concealed beneath head deposits. The hills of the Chalk dip-slope are in the far distance beyond the village of Calpham.
