Description: River Adur and Lancing College. River Adur and coast plain. View south-west across alluvium-filled Adur Valley to West Sussex coast plain. Formed of Pleistocene deposits, mainly head, overlying Chalk and Tertiary deposits. The tall building on the Chalk hill above the river (right of centre) is the chapel of Lancing College, built mainly of Ardingly Sandstone from the Tunbridge Wells Sand.
