Description: East Chiltington Church. Large 'Paludina' limestone as building stone. The church walls are built mainly of undressed blocks of large 'Paludina' limestone from the Weald Clay. The dressed blocks in the buttresses and quoins are sandstone - probably from the Tunbridge Wells Sand or Ashdown Beds. The perimeter wall is build mainly of flint.
