Description: Small pit, 700 m. N. of Sudbury Town Hall. An eroded sequence of Thanet Beds and Red Crag. The challk is succeeded in this section by thin basal Thanet Beds, consisting of rounded and nodular glauconite coated flints and blocky pinkish silty fine-grained sand. The upper few centimetres of the Thanet Beds is brecciated and overlain by bedded rusty brown, medium to coarse-grained sand (Red Crag) with local calcrete. Boulder clay with basal calcretes caps the section.
