Description: Oblique aerial view of Castle Coeffin, Lismore. Argyll and Bute. Raised beach cliffs in the Lismore Limestone Formation of the Blair Atholl Subgroup of the Dalradian Supergroup. The island of Lismore is composed of a thick sequence of flaggy limestones with subordinate black slates. The castle, an ancient fortalice on a small peninsula opposite Castle-Mearnaig is said to have been built by a Danish prince of the name Coeffin.
