Description: Bull Cliff, Barry. Cliff in Lower Lias. The cliff exposes the Lower Lias succession from c. 1.5 m. above the top of the Penarth Group upwards for some 46 m. The tripartite division of the Lower Lias is well demonstrated, namely: interbedded limestones and calcareous shales; c. 12m, seen shales with subordinate thin limestones; 13m, interbedded limestones and shales; c. 15 m. seen.
