Caption: Holmsley Ridge. Looking E.
Description: Holmsley Ridge. Looking E. Cryoturbated Plateau Gravels. This pit section clearly shows the dramatic effect of Pleistocene cryoturbation on the upper part of the exposed sand and gravel. In the lower part of the section the gravelly deposits appear to retain some of their original bedding.
