Description: | Oblique aerial view taken from above Bridge of Earn. Looking east with the Bridge of Earn in the foreground, the M9 construction site and the hospital complex on the right. The wooded hill in the top left is the eastern end of Moncreiffe Hill. Strathearn between Bridge of Earn and the Earn-Tay confluence. The low ground marks the fill of Quaternary sediments occupying the buried channel of the River Earn. Lower Devonian lavas form the high wooded ground and are separated by a fault from Upper Devonian sandstones below the buried channel. |
