Description: Oblique aerial view of meanders incised into Carse Clay of Strathearn looking west above Forgandenny and including the Broombarns section. Perthshire. A dried-up former river meander can be seen just above the railway on the right, a distinctive feature of the Earn Valley. The Carse Clay is a Flandrian, post-glacial deposit of inter-tidal silty clay that was deposited during a relative rise in sea level.
