Caption: Oblique aerial view of the south face of Ben Nevis looking north. Inverness-shire.
Description: The line of the lava/granite contact runs approximately from small shadow on lip of corrie down towards right-hand corner then swings across photograph following the line of 'blocky-outcrop'. Shows Old Red Sandstone lavas in immediate foreground in contact with surrounding and intruding Ben Nevis Inner Granite of the Ben Nevis Complex, a classic example of cauldron subsidence.
