Description: Oblique aerial view looking south down Glen Nevis. Inverness-shire. In the immediate foreground is a ridge of Inner Granite of the Ben Nevis Complex, a classic example of cauldron subsidence, with crags of Leven Schists. The crags in the middle of the picture are of Glencoe Quartzite with prominent bedding. An Steall waterfall of the 'hanging valley' of Allt Coire a' Mhail falls over a small recumbent fold of Glencoe Quartzite in the Leven Schists. A recumbent fold is an overturned fold where the axial plane, the plane through the centre of the fold is horizontal or almost horizontal.
