There are three parts to the Ben Nevis Complex, the Outer Granite, steeply-bounded against the contact-altered schists, a continuous inner ring of the Inner Granite older than the Outer Granite, and the central core consisting of 2000 ft. of Lower Old Red Sandstone volcanic rocks overlying Dalradian metasedimentary rocks. |
