Description: Oblique aerial view, Mullach nan Coirean looking west-north-west from Allt Coire na Ba above Kinlochleven, Inverness-shire, towards Am Bodach and Stob Coire na h-Eirghe (right). The Dalradian-Mullach nan Coirean granite contact. The foreground consisting of Dalradian quartzite (white) with strong vertical bedding is in contact with the Mullach nan Coirean red granite seen in the middle distance. The swing of the bedding in the quartzite is related to regional folding. The Mullach nan Coirean red granite is a leucocratic biotite-granite which lies adjacent to, and to the south-west of the Ben Nevis Complex. The granite pre-dated the Ben Nevis Dyke Swarm.
