Description: | Marsh House Farm, Dengie Peninsula. Recent marine or estuarine alluvium. A drainage ditch in the reclaimed coastal marshland shows shelly clays, the Higher Mud Flat Deposits, overlain by silty fine-grained sands of the Inner Sands with an erosional disconformity. Comminuted shells and shell fragments commonly form a lag deposit on the disconformity. |
