Description: Ochil Hills. Stirlingshire. The line of the Ochil Fault. Showing Lower Old Red Sandstone igneous rocks of Ochil Hills and flat plain of faulted down Upper Limestone and Passage Group. The line of the fault is the abrupt change from mountain to plain. A quartz-dolerite sill-complex forms a striking series of westward-facing crags supporting the golf course, Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument, which is clearly identified by the wooded areas.
