The photograph shows a sequence of grey yellow-weathering smooth to silty kaolinitic clays of Lower Tertiary age dipping at around 25 degrees to the south-west. The clays are overlain by brown gravels of Pleistocene - Recent age, and these can be seen around the far rim of the pit. |
