Description: | Clock House Brickworks, Capel. Looking N. Section of Weald Clay. The beds have a gently northward dip, and consist of clays with some lighter-coloured silty bands, which show prominently in the lower part of the section. Littering the floor of the pit are masses of siltstone with the form of basin-casts. These occur at many level in the face that is being worked. They are discarded as excavation proceeds. |
