Description: | Talm, north coast of Isle of Eigg. Inverness-shire. Landslipped mass of Tertiary Eigg Lava Formation and Middle Jurassic Valtos Sandstone Formation. A large rotational slip now extensively covered by scree formed when the Lava plateau became unstable due to disturbance by ice action during the main Late Devensian glaciation. It is thought that the Talm slip is still active since the toe is being actively eroded by the sea. |
