Freshly eroded blown sand-dunes in the foreground are composed of fine-grained, cross-bedded sand consisting of mainly quartz with about 10% shell debris and 5% ferromagnesian minerals. Sedimentary rocks forming Hummell Rocks on the distant foreshore. |
