Description: Llanelli and the Loughor Estuary. Looking ESE. Beyond the dip-slope in the foreground on the lowest sandstone in the Hughes Beds, Llanelli is situated on glacial drifts overlying Swansea Beds. Across the estuary the high ground is formed by Upper Carboniferous rocks on the north side of the Gower Peninsula. The Stradey Fault runs through the wooded valley to the left of the photograph.
