| Description: | Slickstone Quarry, Charfield. Reptile-bearing Triassic cave fillings. Black Rock Limestone (Carboniferous Limestone Series) with caves and voids filled with Keuper sediments. In the centre of the picture are seen an infilled pipe and solution cavities filled with red and green marl and mudstone. The gently arched deposit of red and green calcareous mudstone and breccia filling the lower part of the cavity includes beds of hard calcareous rock with reptilian remains. |
