Description: E. side of road, 500 yd. N. of Warninglid crossroads at the Half Moon Inn. Looking NE. Old diggings for sandstone in clay country. This broad clay vale, probably of Weald Clay, is fault bounded on the north and south sides. The northern boundary fault runs beyond the farm buildings at left, into the distance at right, the wooded ground beyond being on a dip-slope of Upper Tunbridge Wells Sand. The diggings in the hay-field (between the electricity poles) indicate the former presence of hard beds of sandstone, dipping towards the north, within the clay.
