Description: Holy Trinity Church, Maidstone. Looking N. Kentish Rag as a building stone. In Holy Trinity Church, Maidstone, built in 1826, Kentish Rag has been used in squared blocks or ashlar, and has flaked badly under weathering. This is particularly noticeable on the tower. The spire stonework had to be restored in about 1950.
