Description: | Cliff Road 1900 yd. E. 10 degrees N. of Dover Castle. Looking SW. Chalk cliffs east of Dover Harbour. Middle Chalk is exposed at the foot of the cliff in the left foreground. Above this the cliff is wholly in Upper Chalk, and the regular bands of flint nodules characteristic of the Micraster coranguinum Zone can be clearly seen. In the distance Shakespeare Cliff is in Lower and Middle Chalk capped by the lowest beds of the Upper Chalk. |
