| Description: | East side of Honga Ness, Fetlar. Shetland Isles. Looking south-east. Thrust blocks of metamorphic rocks which bear a complex structural relationship with each other. Steeply-dipping slates and phyllites of the Central Group of Fetlar (seen in the bay beneath the wall) are overridden by flat serpentine which forms the hills and descends to the sea in a vertical crush at the back of the geo. The promontory is formed by serpentine and in the near part by hornblende schist. |
