Caption: SSE of Wrotham Heath. Looking N.
Description: SSE of Wrotham Heath. Looking N. Chalk escarpment and Gault vale. Upper Chalk just caps the scarp, Middle Chalk extends from just below the skyline down to about the lower of the two parallel lines of hedge and trees (this marks the Pilgrim's Road, which roughly follows the Melbourn Rock); Lower Chalk and Gault occupy the gently undulating tract between this and the viewpoint which is on Folkestone Sand. Note steep coombes and spurs of the Chalk scarp.
