Caption: Cheddar. Looking N.
Description: Cheddar. Looking N. Cliffs at south end of Cheddar Gorge. View near lower end of Cheddar Gorge, showing how imposing cliffs are due to the strongly vertical-jointed Carboniferous Limestone (Seminula Zone). The dip, which is slight and towards the camera, has no direct effect in the production of the cliffs which are scarp features.
