Description: View from low hill summit near northern edge of Witley Common. Looking SW. Heathland developed on Sandgate Beds. Gentle slopes characterize the broad outcrop of Sandgate Beds on Witley Common. In the foreground is a sparse heath vegetation, with gorse bushes burnt by a heath fire, and in the middle distance extensive young conifer woods are developed on the same outcrop. The distant hills are formed by the Hythe Beds of the Hindhead Common area.
