Description: Marsden Clough, Holmbridge (about 1 m. above Bilberry Reservoir) near Huddersfield. Looking W. Natural bridge. Natural bridge of Kinderscout Grit. Beneath the massive pebbly grit, well seen on left, is a bed of shale, in all about 20 ft. thick. The deepening of rock pools in the grit (see A3630) till the shale is reached has enabled the stream to undermine the sill of a pool, leaving the bridge, which serves as a footbridge for crossing the stream. See also A3629.
