Description: Bilberry Reservoir, Holmbridge. Looking ESE. Alluvial delta of stream entering Bilberry Reservoir. The mouth of Marsden Clough, looking downstream. The alluvial deposits are laid down by the stream, when the water-level is high, forming a delta: they are well stratified and consist of sand, silt and mud with layers of peaty debris. (See also A3623, A3625,A3626,A3627.) Compare with the varve clays of glacial age.
