Description: Spinkwell Quarry, Crosland Moor, about 2 m. SW of Huddersfield. Looking ENE. Bedding of freestone; Rough Rock quarry, Crosland Moor. The freestone is a fine even-grained stone largely quarried for building purposes. It occurs in thick-bedded irregular masses, the curved form as shown in the photograph being a very frequent feature.
