Description: Ainleys, about 2 1/2 m. NW of Huddersfield. Looking SSE. Fault in Coal Measures; Blackley Fireclay Works, Elland. In the centre of the photograph is clearly seen the 36 Yards Coal seam resting on fireclay and overlain by shale. To the left is seen a highly inclined fault plane cutting off the coal and bringing it in juxaposition with shale.
