Description: Cliffs E. of disinfecting works, Hastings. Looking ENE. Cliffs east of Hastings. From left to right; white wall of disinfecting works, East Groyne, Foul Ness (above reef), mouth of Ecclesbourne Glen, Covehurst landslip (forming ledge below distant headland). The cliffs are mostly of Ashdown Sand, thinly capped with Wadhurst Clay. The Fairlight Clays, obscured by talus, form lowest part of cliff, their upper limit being roughly indicated by the top of the hut-like object at the far end of the white wall.
