Description: View from Hillockhead, 4.0 km. north-east of Fortrose. Looking south-east. Ross & Cromarty. Part of a panorama of the coastal lowland on the south side of inner Moray Firth and entrance to Inverness Firth. (With C01878, C01880.) The foreland of Ardersier at Fort George, the outer part of which is increasing by accumulation of sand, while the cliff at edge of inner shore denotes that it is being denuded, the two processes resulting in a 'hook' or 'corran' - a low peninsula ending in a recurved spit.
