Caption: Aonach Beag looking east from the summit of Ben Nevis. Inverness-shire.
Description: The bedded rock forming Aonach Beag, are calc-silicate-hornfels of the Ballachulish Limestone which form the core of a recumbent fold with the Leven Schists providing an envelope both above and below. Allt Coire Guibhsachan in the foreground. Forms part of a panorama with C01775 and C0176. The mountain represents an area of complex metamorphic rocks that have been folded into a recumbent syncline, itself part of the more complex area called the West Grampian Complex.
