Description: Mamore Forest looking south from the summit of Ben Nevis. Inverness-shire. A dissected plateau. Mountains of interfolded Glencoe Quartzite and Leven Schists forming part of the West Grampian Complex an area of very complicated geology. An Garbhanach above the steeply decending burn on the left, Am Bodach right of centre and Sgurr a' Mhaim on the right. Mountains of Glen Coe and Glen Etive in distance, note the general similarity of height of the peaks, this illustrates the level of the former plateau, now heavily dissected. Forms part of a panorama with C01766 and C01768.
