Caption: Lybster Harbour. Caithness.
Description: Half a mile north-west of Lybster the Reisgill Burn abandons the course of the pre-glacial valley which it has been following, and enters a newly cut rock gorge. The photograph shows the downstream end of the boulder clay filled pre-glacial valley. In the background, a pre-glacial river channel is filled with boulder clay. The postglacial Reisgill Burn enters the harbour beneath the bridge to the left from a gorge in the flagstones. The photograph is a good view of the harbour c. 1910.
