Description: Kelton Head Quarry, about 1/2 m. E. of Rowrah Station, Lamplugh. Looking NE. Quarry in Fourth Limestone. Limestone used for smelting. View continuous with the right of 2798. For limestone sequence see Geol. Mag., 1922 pp.82-3. Succession seen: 4. Spotted Beds, lower half; white at the top of the quarry on the left. 3. Rough Beds: dark limestones with no clean-cut bedding-planes except that at the base, which rises towards the right from behind a heap of rubbish at 2 in. from the left margin. 2. Calcite-mudstone and mudstone. 1. White Beds, upper part only seen.
