Description: From near Croftfoot, Ennerdale Water. Looking SE. Bowness Knott and Ennerdale Water with the cloud-capped Pillar range behind. Bowness Knott and the southern flank of Herdus (on the extreme left) are hardened, un-folded Skiddaw Slate. The ground to the south is all granophyre. Deltas into glacial-lake Ennerdale can be seen below Herdus. The foreground is Irish Sea drift.
