Description: Near Stockhow Hall, Kirkland, about 1 1/4 m. SSE of Rowrah Station, Lamplugh. Looking SE. Outwash-delta and the drift of the Irish Sea ice-sheet in Ennerdale below Ennerdale Water. See 'Summary of Progress for 1921', App. I. The lower end of the lake is seen on the left margin of the view; the floor of Ennerdale below is covered with Irish Sea Drift. The outwash-delta, which is that seen in A2763-4, stretches across the middle distance from the left margin to a clump of dark trees, at the foot of which is Stockhow Hall Farm. The ice-contact slope of the delta is in the shade and appears dark.
