Description: Near Stockhow Hall, Kirkland, about 1 1/4 m. SSE of Rowrah Station, Lamplugh. Looking S. Outwash-delta of the Irish Sea ice-sheet in Glacier-Lake Ennerdale. Looking south across Ennerdale from the entrance of Stockhow Hall Quarry. The main ice-contact slope is end-on. It falls away from the right-hand side of the cart-track in the centre of the view and runs thence to the right end of the line of dark trees outlined against the far side of Ennerdale in the middle of the view. The delta extends from the ice-contact slope to the left edge of the view.
