Description: From Nannycatch Gate, about 2 m. S. by W. of Ennerdale Bridge. Looking NNW. View up to the head of the Nannycatch Beck valley, a deep gorge-like valley cut in the Skiddaw Slate by the waters from glacier-Lake Ennerdale during 700 ft. (+), 700 ft. (-) and 600 ft. (+) levels. The stream occupying the valley at present is an obvious misfit.
