Description: 300 yd. NNE of Nannycatch Gate, 2 m. S. by W. of Ennerdale Bridge. Looking N. View up upper part of Nannycatch Beck valley cut by the drainage from the Glacial-Lake Ennerdale during the 700 ft. (+), 700 ft. (-) and 600 ft. (+) levels. The middle ground shows a narrowing of the valley the igneous dykes in the Skiddaw Slate cross. The stream now occupying this gorge-like valley is obviously a misfit.
