Description: Gardenstown, Gamrie Bay, 10.5 km. east of Banff. A view looking down on Gardenstown, a fishing village founded in 1720 by Alexander Garden Esq. of Troup. In foreground - recent sea cliffs of Middle Old Red Sandstone capped with boulder clay. On left - old sea cliffs on margin of a raised beach. The boulder clay plateau is being cut by streams forming aretes above the shore cliffs.
