Description: | Mouth of River Deveron. Banffshire. Deflection of the River Deveron by storm beach. Longshore currents from the east cause a beach drift from the east to west, so forming the bar. The river has to break through eventually and it breaks through where it is pressed up against the rocky western side of the bay. The entrance to the harbour can be seen on the left. |
